We 👏 love 👏 natural 👏 light.
Why? Natural light not only makes us feel more grounded but it brings character to a property like no other! Besides, who doesn’t love those Insta-worthy pics?! Bringing in the sunlight from the outside lightens up your Airbnb so your guests capture the magic that this space can bring.
But, some Airbnb’s bring magic without light. The cozy & charming little cabin nooks may not have access to natural light but we embrace that. There are many ways to make your space special to your guest without always using nature to help ya a little.
Today, The Host. Co is breaking down some lighting tricks to keep up your sleeve to make your Airbnb light and airy - even for the coziest of spaces! Read below to learn how to make your property brighter:
1. Limit The Tripping-Hazard Alert.
It is important (regardless if your Airbnb has a lot of windows or not) to make sure to always have pathway lights as well as exterior lights so you do not have to worry about the liability with guest tripping.
2. Glow Baby Glow
You always want to have exterior lights to ensure that it looks like someone is home - even if it is empty. It is best to illuminate the outside rounds of the building to give your building a pretty glow.
Host Co TIP: Ensure that your exterior lights are solar censored so they are automated to turn off once the sun comes up.
3. Night Lights Never Age
No one wants to be stumbling into the bathroom in the middle of the night. We have probably all been there once and...we all know how it ends. To make sure this doesn’t happen to your guest, make sure each bedroom has a bedside light to be easily accessible.
4. Power Outage
Nothing deems panic until the power goes out and no one knows where that flashlight is. Help your guest and store battery backup flashlights in your Airbnb so they can illuminate the dark space. And even better, make sure that somewhere online or in the staying notes, your guest reads that they have back-up items for a power outage.
It is best to always think like your customer, your guest, to ensure that the experience spent at your Airbnb is one to remember, positively!
