Adding Decor For Sale In Your Rental

Want to sell more than just minibar items like toothbrushes and chips in your rental? Bigger ticket items definitely make more money, so we recommend adding decor. We can’t tell you how many times people have asked us where we got that rug or that chair - so sell them the item directly to them!
ART / MAKER DECOR
If you make your own wall hangings or paintings, consider selling them in your Airbnb. No need to put price tags on things, just let your guests they can shop in your Host Co store for the items on the wall and take them with them as they go.
POTTERY
Is there a local ceramics shop in your town that you love? Consider stocking a few items in your home that can easily be replaced and support a local artist.
BEDDING
Guests often rave about bedding. If you have brand new extras on hand, consider selling them to inquiring guests at a markup!
This can also be a great way to charge people for ruined bedding without having to file a dispute through the vacation rental app. Let guests purchase soiled items to save time on the back and forth.
DISHES
If you’re like us, you have a real mix of dishes so if some break, you don’t have to buy a whole new set. Consider selling individual plates or location-specific souvenir mugs directly to the guest!
You can also use the store as a way to let guests pay for broken dishes without having to apologize first.
FURNITURE
People will often ask where you got your bed or couch or outdoor patio set. If the items are available online, add them to your store for local pickup only as shipping items aren’t available yet on The Host Co. platform.
