Damage Protection and Travel Insurance Now Available Nationwide In Host Co Stores

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of damage protection and travel insurance into Host Co stores. As of this week, you can offer these products to your guests and make a profit from every sale.

Damage Protection with Waivo

Our first new offering is damage protection through Waivo. This policy provides $1500 in coverage for a ten-day period, ensuring peace of mind for both you and your guests.

Coverage Details and Cost

  • Coverage Amount: $1500

  • Coverage Period: 10 days

  • Cost to Guest: $30 (before applicable fees)

  • Profit to Host: $10 per sale

How It Works

When a guest purchases damage protection from your store, we immediately share the following information with Waivo:

  • Start date of coverage (selected by the guest)

  • Listing name and address

  • Guest info (name, email, phone)

  • Owner/operator name

This information is private and shared only between The Host Co and Waivo.

Guest Purchase and Cancellation Policies

Guests can purchase coverage up to 11:59 PM on their check-in date and can cancel up to 24 hours before their stay with written notice to support@thehost.co.

Whole-Trip Travel Insurance with Faye

Our second new offering is whole-trip travel insurance through Faye. This ensures your guests are covered for various travel-related incidents, enhancing their overall experience.

Process for Guests to Purchase Insurance

Guests will be directed to the Faye website from the travel insurance tile on your Host Co store. They can then purchase the coverage they need, including add-ons like Cancel for Any Reason or Car Insurance.

Affiliate System and Profit Details

  • Affiliate Tracking: We track the purchase through our affiliate system.

  • Profit to Host: 5% of the total Faye sale is added to your Host Co store.

  • Payout Frequency: Monthly
